Dr. Nachiket Kotwaliwale, Director, ICAR-Indian Institute of Maize Research, addressed the 12th India Maize Summit organized by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry in New Delhi on 15 May 2026.
During his address, Dr. Kotwaliwale emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration among research institutions, industry partners, and stakeholders to upscale ICAR-generated technologies and prototypes through Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode. He highlighted that such collaborative efforts are essential for enhancing maize productivity, improving grain quality, and accelerating value chain development in the country.
He further stressed that effective technology commercialization and wider adoption of innovative maize production and processing technologies would play a significant role in supporting farmers’ income, industrial utilization, and overall growth of the maize sector in India.
